Carl joined Caelynx in early 2016, following over 20 years of engineering development experience at other companies ranging from start-ups to OEMs. Carl provides technical mentoring and project leadership at Caelynx and manages our SIMULIA and FEMFAT support team. He enjoys helping and teaching people and is a certified SIMULIA instructor. He conducts many of our Abaqus and FEMFAT classes.
Carl has extensive experience guiding the design of complex powertrain components. He is passionate about solving challenging engineering problems using numerical analysis tools for metal fatigue, fluid dynamics, heat transfer, and thermodynamics. This foundation of solid engineering skills is applicable to a broad range of applications.
Carl received his degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Arizona, where he worked in the heat transfer laboratory to design and build test equipment for electronics cooling experiments. Outside of Caelynx, Carl enjoys kayaking, mountain biking, and spending time with his wife and kids.
