Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) devices can provide very detailed images of the human body without applying any ionizing x-ray dose.

Behind the scenes, MRI requires an advanced interaction of various electromagnetic (EM) fields. Thermal effects and mechanical forces also need to be known to have a successful design that meets the safety requirements.
