ACCOUNT MANAGER for Engineering Services and Software

 

DESCRIPTION

Full time opportunity for mid to senior level outside sales professional to expand their sales experience. Our well established, growing business offers a flexible schedule in a business casual working environment. We provide high-end engineering consulting and software sales to OEMs and suppliers throughout North America. We are looking for a sales person to cover an available territory.

Prospecting, qualifying and closing new opportunities will be among your primary responsibilities. Performing sales operations and interacting with existing customers will be part of your secondary responsibilities. The successful candidate will have a proven record in organization, initiative and ability to work individually or within a team. The right candidate will have “sales presence,” including out-going personality, assertiveness, confidence, resilience, exemplary follow-up skills and can-do attitude. Will be required to take “ownership” of assignments, multi-task and respond quickly to diverse situations and personality types.

 

CAREER PATH

This is a mid to senior level role in our sales and marketing business pillar. You will be assigned to your territory within USA. The right candidate, if desired, can be trained to take a regional sales manager position within our North American territory. It offers to the right individual the opportunity to understand and participate in the national software and consulting market for product development, mechanical engineering and PLM.

 

REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum 2 years sales experience
  • Minimum 1 year experience in an office setting; sales or marketing experience preferred
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in business, economics, communications or engineering
  • Aptitude for understanding engineering concepts
  • High-level of energy, self-motivated and resourceful
  • 3-month training at our headquarters in Ann Arbor, MI
  • Permanent location in sales territory

  • Fluent English

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Close opportunities to generate new revenue
  • Acquire and maintain a working knowledge of the complete capabilities of Caelynx’s offerings, with a focus on services (design and analysis) and software (Dassault Systèmes’s solutions)
  • Present products and services at on-site and WebEx based sales calls
  • Prepare and present price quotations
  • Implement sales and marketing operations; business strategy execution
  • Perform KAM (key account management)
  • Maintain CRM database, implement lead nurturing procedure
  • Compose clear, precise, well organized emails, memos and letters
  • Participate in company’s marketing efforts, including email campaigns, trade shows, SEO and commercial channel development
  • Perform sales and marketing analysis; create and update reports
  • Assist clients via phone and email by directing them to appropriate resources
  • Qualify inbound leads
  • Use social media/selling to gain leads
  • Other duties as assigned

 

SKILLS

  • Maximize ‘sales value’ and be able to articulate the value proposition
  • Strong knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook

  • General knowledge of CAE (computer aided engineering) or PLM (product life-cycle management) would be helpful, but not necessary

INSIDE SALES & SALES ADMINISTRATION

 

DESCRIPTION

  • Be the engine that drives pipeline, new logos and growth across the U.S.
  • Research and build new and existing accounts
  • Prospecting/web hunting/lead generation to get appointments for sales
  • Qualify outbound leads: analyze prospect’s needs, understand business processes, identify projects, determine requirements and assess potential solutions
  • Conduct high level conversations with senior executives
  • Qualify inbound leads
  • Acquire and maintain a working knowledge of the complete capabilities of Caelynx’s offerings; focus on services (design and analysis) and software (Dassault Systèmes’s solutions)
  • Use social media/selling to gain leads
  • Support Outside Sales Team with creating quotes, online ordering system (dsxclient) and low-level customer service and support
  • Engage with software developer (Dassault Systèmes) for special requests
  • Process orders: Media, license keys, etc.
  • Other duties as assigned

 

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or engineering
  • Minimum 1 year successful experience in sales with at least 6 months of experience in cold calling and/or web hunting into new accounts and businesses.
